Octopus by RTG is hiring for a reputable insurance company with headquarters in Riyadh a skilled Oracle Middleware Engineer to join the team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Middleware Administrator to manage and optimize our Oracle middleware environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our middleware applications, implementing security measures, and collaborating with various teams to deliver effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Middleware Management: Install, configure, and manage Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports. Oversee middleware requirements to ensure optimal cross-functionality and evaluate middleware solutions for proper configuration.
  • OCI Administration: Administer and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including routine monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Security & Upgrades: Implement and manage security measures for Oracle middleware environments, including user authentication, authorization, and SSL. Plan and execute upgrades and patches with minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work with development, database, and infrastructure teams to design and implement solutions. Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes. Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, Oracle middleware advancements, and best practices. Optimize performance across different application servers and address server/application vulnerabilities.
  • Configure new servers from scratch and ensure proper setup.
  • Review and inform functions about web application documentation and operational manuals.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate middleware solutions and ensure interoperability.

Requirements

  • Middleware Technologies: Expertise in Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Tomcat, JBoss, and performance tuning.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems, including shell scripting and system administration.
  • Networking & Security: Understanding of network protocols, security configurations, and SSL.
  • Development Tools: Experience with Jenkins, Jira, Git, and Bitbucket.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Middleware Administrator with a strong background in Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and resolve issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Oracle Middleware certification(s).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database administration and experience with performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL and various development tools.
